WeWorm lets hackers into WeChat without you touching a thing

A new vulnerability called WeWorm is quietly compromising WeChat accounts. Users don't have to click anything or install anything — the attack lands on its own. Once inside, it reads messages, listens to calls, and hijacks accounts. It's a zero-click exploit, the kind that keeps security researchers up at night.

Zero-click is the worst kind. It means the phone does the work and you don't even notice. For the comunidad that relies on WeChat for family groups, business chats, and sending money home, this is a real problem. One bad worm and suddenly your auntie's messages are being read by someone else.

Why this matters for us: WeChat is how la gente talk, and if the doors are open without us knowing, our conversations aren't ours anymore.
