Training PMs on AI is the easy part

Jeff Goethelf has a read on what's actually hard about getting product teams to use AI — and it's not the tools.

Companies are spending the big money on models, fine-tuning, and integrations. That part is straightforward. The real struggle is getting PMs to stop treating AI like a shiny new feature and start weaving it into how they think and work. The architecture of focus is what matters: how AI reshapes where PMs put their attention, what they stop doing, and what they start doing with the time they get back.

If your PMs are still using AI like a search bar — typing in a question and waiting for an answer — they're missing the point. The shift is from AI as a tool to AI as a collaborator in the daily grind. That's the harder change.

Why this matters for us: The companies that win won't be the ones with the fanciest models, but the ones that actually changed how their people think.

The shift is from AI as a tool to AI as a collaborator in the daily grind.
