The HoverAir Versa is flying — but not to the US

The HoverAir Versa is a baby camera that snaps on propeller wings and flies like a drone. It just hit Indiegogo. Three days later, US orders stopped.

The company says the camera is still shipping to the US, just not the Flight Kit that turns it into a drone. The real story may be simpler: the FCC has banned the drone version.

The FCC's database no longer lists the Versa. That means it hasn't cleared the rules for US skies — and the company can't legally sell it here.

This is the same pattern that hit Skydio, Autel, and the DJI Mini series: an FCC waiver lets the drone fly in the US, and without it, the product is stuck overseas. The hardware is fine. The paperwork isn't.

For the comunidad, this is familiar. La migra decides what moves; the rest of us wait. The Versa works great — just not for US customers.

Why this matters for us: the FCC rules move slower than the gear, so our tech lands overseas first and we pay the shipping premium to get it home.
