Stop trying to beat the models — it's the wrong game

Sean Goedeké is making a point that's been building all year: the models are now so capable that competing with them on raw capability is a losing bet. The real edge isn't out-generating or out-thinking the model — it's building something the model can't. That means workflows, data, and distribution that are specific to your situation.

The models are getting better at writing, coding, summarizing, even reasoning. The ones who win aren't the ones typing faster prompts. They're the ones with access to real proprietary data, the ones who've wired the output into systems people actually use, the ones with customers already paying.

This isn't a Silicon Valley idea. It's the same move that's kept the local bodega open against the big box: the models can't replicate the relationships, the inventory, the neighborhood. Build on top of them, don't compete with them.
