Sierra AI buys Takeoff — long-horizon AI agents now under one roof

Sierra AI acquired Takeoff AI, a startup building long-horizon AI agents that plan and execute multi-step tasks. The deal brings Takeoff's planning and execution models under Sierra's umbrella.

Takeoff's agents don't just answer questions — they map out sequences of actions, track progress, and adjust when something goes off track. Think of it as a digital cousin who handles your errands: booking appointments, comparing options, following up, and reporting back when it's done.

Sierra, which already runs a family of AI models, sees long-horizon agents as the next frontier. The idea is simple: one agent can handle a whole workflow instead of you juggling five different apps.

No financial terms were disclosed. Sierra said it will integrate Takeoff's technology into its existing product suite.

Why this matters for us: if AI agents start handling real workflows — booking, comparing, following up — la gente who rely on side hustles and community favors might soon be competing with an AI cousin who never sleeps and never asks for a favor back.

“One agent handles a whole workflow instead of you juggling five different apps.”
