Quality has to make money or it doesn't exist

The best product writers keep coming back to the same problem: how do you justify quality when the business case looks thin? You can ship something beautiful, but if nobody pays for it, it's a hobby. That's the tension Benn is wrestling with here — the gap between making things that work well and making things that survive in the market.

This is an honest conversation for anyone building something real. The answer usually isn't about being the cheapest or the flashiest. It's about finding the specific quality that your people care enough about to pay for, then making it obvious.

Why this matters for us: la gente knows quality when they see it, and the businesses that survive are the ones that make it worth their money — not the ones that just slap a logo on a half-baked product.
