Microsoft puts AI engineers inside your company

Microsoft is spending $2.5 billion on a frontier AI company whose entire job is to embed engineers directly inside customer organizations. Not consulting. Not support tickets. Actual engineers, sitting with the teams, shipping code.

The move is a direct shot at the current AI consulting model — the kind where a firm flies in for two weeks, delivers a deck, and leaves you with a Jira backlog. This is the opposite: engineers who stay, who know the systems, who can actually push the button.

Why this matters for us: la gente que trabaja en tech no necesita otra consultora — necesita gente que se quede y escriba el código.

No consulting. Not support tickets. Actual engineers, sitting with the teams.
