How Baseten speeds up GLM 52 without burning tokens

Baseten wrote a post about how they get higher tokens-per-second from GLM 52. The trick is multi-token prediction — instead of waiting for one token at a time, the model guesses the next few in parallel, then checks them. Fewer round-trips, faster output, same accuracy.

They also published a GLM 52 library on their site. If you're routing model calls through Baseten, this is one less thing to set up.

The post is straightforward — no hand-wringing about open-source vs. proprietary. Just benchmarks and the architecture.

Why this matters for us: faster LLM calls mean cheaper APIs for the side hustles and small shops running on tight margins, and fewer tokens to pay for. If you're already using Baseten, the GLM 52 library drops in clean.
