Hackers use Meta's AI to hijack Instagram accounts

Hackers found a way to take over Instagram accounts using Meta's own AI support chatbot. In a video posted on Telegram, a hacker showed how they could switch the email linked to someone's profile and reset their password. This exploit was used to hack high-profile accounts, including Barack Obama's White House Instagram account. The hackers posted Iranian propaganda from that account before it was secured.

Meta says they've fixed the issue, but it's a reminder of how AI tools can be used against us. These kinds of exploits are a wake-up call for anyone with an online presence.
