Gemini Spark now runs your Google Photos library
Google rolled out a new feature for Gemini Spark that lets it manage your photo stash without you touching the app. It edits albums, curates collections, creates shared albums, and even turns photos into calendar events. All of this works for Google Photos subscribers on the AI Pro and AI Ultra tiers.
The idea is simple: instead of scrolling through thousands of pictures, you can ask Gemini Spark to do the sorting for you. It figures out which photos belong together, which ones deserve a shared album for the familia, and which ones should become reminders on your calendar.
The feature targets people who already pay for AI features. If you're on AI Pro or AI Ultra, it's included. If you're not, you'll need to upgrade to get the same management for your photos.
This is not a major revolution — it's the kind of quiet upgrade that saves time. No new app, no learning curve. Just a smarter backend doing the work you used to do yourself.
Why this matters for us: when the AI can sort your family photos without you babysitting it, that's one less chore for the people who are already doing all the chores — the ones who organize the quinceañera albums, the ones who back up the grandparents' pictures, the ones who carry the weight of keeping everything together.
