Flux 3.1 — the open model beating the paid ones

BFL dropped Flux 3.1, a 12 billion parameter image model, and the community is moving fast. It's open weight, runs on a single 24GB GPU, and — by the numbers — beats the big proprietary models on standard benchmarks like Imagen 3, DALL-E 3, and Midjourney v7.
